Explore 42 films, grouped by look: colour negative, colour reversal, black-and-white and print. Most use published manufacturer data; others are reconstructed from handbooks and specifications. Print mode transfers the negative to a print film, while Scan mode presents it as a film scan. Choose formats from Super 8 to 35 mm.

- Shape exposure, push and pull, grain, halation, bloom, sharpness, gate weave, flicker and vignette. Compare your work with the original and save favourite settings as presets.
- Video
- Trim, crop to a film gate and queue multiple clips for export as HEVC (H.265) in SDR. Original audio, rotation and metadata are preserved. iPhone camera HDR is converted to SDR; Apple Log and PQ HDR footage are not supported.
- Photos
- Work with HEIC and JPEG photos, then export HEIC with orientation, capture date and location preserved.

- Your first five renders are watermark-free at any resolution. After that, renders at 480p stay watermark-free, with a maximum long edge of 854 pixels. Ashigrain Pro removes the limit.
- Ashigrain Pro
- Export at any resolution without a watermark with a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. Eligible users get a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. See your local price in the App Store, and manage or cancel your plan in Apple Account settings.
- Mac licence
- The app uses its own Ashigrain Pro purchase, separate from the Mac plugin licence. An Ashigrain account is not required.
Requirements and export times.
- Devices
- iPhone or iPad with an A13 Bionic chip or later, running iOS 26 or later.
- Export times
Export time depends on resolution, frame rate and device temperature. On iPhone 11 with A13 Bionic, the oldest supported chip, rendering a minute of 1080p at 30 fps takes about 4.2 minutes. A minute of 4K at 30 fps takes about 16 to 29 minutes; 4K at 60 fps takes about an hour as heat reduces processing speed. Allow extra time for decoding and encoding.
Keep the app open while exporting. On iPhone, you can leave and return: the export pauses, then resumes. Background exports are available on iPad with an M3 chip or later.
Processed on your device.
Your photos and videos stay on your iPhone or iPad, with no account, sign-in or data collection. The system picker shares only the media you choose; saving exports uses add-only permission. Read the Privacy Policy.
